The food is tasteless and the service is poor . The owner told me after we waiting an hour for a main course that she priori-zed regulars, , Even though I have been there 4 times this year, the take away orders take priority and they don’t worry too much about the in dining guests, She had no idea that her comments were utterly inappropriate, Will never go back !

Family run business that serves decent portion size at reasonable taste and price. I found the mains ok, nothing to rave about, but their dessert was really yummy. Its banana with crunchy caramel top (something like creme brulee) that sits on top of purple rice and a coconut based runny sauce (like runny custard) - served warm and is delicious. We are going back for dessert :)

Great food, enjoyed the king prawns with sea moss and especially the sticky black rice with caramelised banana desert. Yum! Most impressed with the speed of delivery of dishes to the table. The staff and owners were really nice, most welcoming. Thanks for a great meal!

No this place has a basic broth to drive 20 km to enjoy. The owners both former Petro Chemical Engineers have just got the best food. Simple honest flavoursome food..we go there when covid permits. Support YOUR local Vietnamese restaurant...tell them their broth is thin or wonderful...they thrive on feedback.

Four of us had a meal last week and loved it. BYO with uncomplicated menu but more than enough choice and the food was very tasty indeed. Lovely staff too, daughter Vivian doing the ordering/serving and up for a chat with dad doing the cooking. A really nice experience, highly recommended.

A family friendly restaurant with delicious food.
Extremely clean and Covid aware! Only trouble is they are closing until Covid threats are no longer. They are doing takeaway and home delivery. The food is yummy and reasonably price. Highly recommended.

Best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been in. Hands down. The atmosphere is cosy and familiar, the place is tiny but welcoming, and the food is absolutely top notch. Five stars only because I can't give them six.

This used to be the best kept secret but the word is out. It is our favourite Vietnamese place in the eastern suburbs - love the sour fish soup which is the best we have had since Vietnam itself. The staff are fantastic and never too busy to look after you.

Simply the best of the best! Authentic magnificent food. Wonderful service, lovely staff and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!
EDIT:
We have been back to Uyen a number of times since my original review a year ago. We've been back with groups of friends or just with our immediate family. Totally happy with the food, the service and the prices. We consider ourselves as "discerning diners" when it comes to Vietnamese food, and to date we haven't found any place within the eastern suburbs that would beat Uyen!

We enjoyed two bowls of beef pho, as well as a chicken with vegetables. Initially we ordered one bowl of pho but after the first bite, I ordered a second bowl for myself :) both the soup and beef were delicious. Our server was sweet and the other lady, who I assume was the owner, was also very kind and attentive. More
